GMB ROOM BOOKINGS
The GMB may be booked for society events subject to approval from the Hist Auditor and Phil President. If you’d like to book a room in the GMB for your event, you can submit a request through emailing enquiries at enquiries@tcd.ie, gmbroombookings@gmail.com, auditor@thehist.com, and president@tcdphil.com. We will only be accepting bookings for the 2025/26 academic year from August 25th, 2025. Bookings during the summer will require additional security provisions and costs; please contact enquiries@tcd.ie for a quote.
Our booking policy:
Making a booking request does not guarantee you a booking. All bookings must be approved by the Auditor, President, and (in cases such as receptions or catered events) the Junior Dean; without those approvals, your event is considered unauthorised and cannot go ahead.
It is your responsibility to ensure that Enquiries, Estates & Facilities, and the Junior Dean have the necessary information in order to authorise your event; this may require an Event Management Plan. Booking requests made less than ten days in advance may not be approved for this reason. Booking requests made for the same working week are not approved as policy.
The Debating Chamber and Phil Conversation Room cannot be booked for separate events at the same time.
Any society using a room in the GMB is responsible for setting it up for their event and ensuring it is left in a tidy and respectable manner. Our conduct policy will be provided to Societies in advance of their event; any society using the GMB agrees to adhere to our policy.
